Even after Proposition 50, the California maps don’t look anywhere near as awful as Texas, pre-2025.
Stuff like 2024’s Texas district 35 go beyond anything in California. Austin, San Antonio, El Paso and Houston are obvious racial carving.
It’s difficult to imagine somehow Texas made this worse.
