I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Confirmed. She is a Trump ally who is also right wing, and who wants US troops in Venezuala to put her in charge. This was a compromise to at least partially bow to Trump, and she is NOT a good recipient, her attitudes and behaviour are not suitable. Her ends have not justified her means.

All three broke femurs, but the first two not to the extent the artery could bleed out, I think. That last one... all that seems to hold that leg on is skin. If it were ripped off to that degree, that artery is gushing uncontrollably. In a mangled car wreck... it's not a survivable injury.

Usually those countries are allies. Germany and Singapore are current examples. Qatar is anything but a political ally, they have been proactively supporting anti US terrorists. The question is not why anybody would have a base... why Qatar?

But I didn’t and still don’t like making a cult of women’s knowledge, preening ourselves on knowing things men don’t know, women’s deep irrational wisdom, women’s instinctive knowledge of Nature, and so on. All that all too often merely reinforces the masculinist idea of women as primitive and inferior – women’s knowledge as elementary, primitive, always down below at the dark roots, while men get to cultivate and own the flowers and crops that come up into the light. But why should women keep talking baby talk while men get to grow up? Why should women feel blindly while men get to think?
