Cat people of Bluesky! Would someone like to adopt this sweet kitty?? She’s from the same rescue org as my new cat, Ken, & flew from Azerbaijan with him a month ago but hasn’t found her home yet. She’s in Chicago. I’ll post her listing in the comments (and info in alt)

Aylana, a 1 year old cat with white fur and gray/ tawny tabby markings, and bright yellowish-green eyes. She started life as an abandoned stray kitten in a village in Azerbaijan, and one day was kicked around by some children and was badly injured.
Thankfully someone intervened and called a rescue to come pick her up! The vet didn't think she'd survive her injuries, but she persevered, and they ended up successfully rehabilitating her. She has been flown into the US and is now being fostered in Chicago, waiting to find a permanent home.

I had this painting of my budgie Sky in sight for weeks. I knew it wasn’t finished but I couldn’t put my finger on it. But it just needed a touch of color. The background was too boring for my taste, especially cause there was a lot of background to fill. #Art

I think birdtober was created as an alternative for the Inktober event when that became controversial. Lots of artists created their own variations back then.

A #Birdtober Green Pigeon, the most colorful variety I could find. I never realized pigeons came in tropical!

The colors on this one were tough, I spent a while tweaking color intensity.

A digital painting of a green pigeon, which is mostly olive green with dark greenish black wing edges and a bright nearly neon yellow green dividing line between the two. Its breast is mango orange with a rosy pink collar, which then returns to olive green surrounding the pale beak and lilac purple eye before shading to a steely powder blue on the back of the head. The underside of the tail is a rusty brown, with a white tip at the end. Its salmon pink feet are a startling contrast. It eyes the viewer, gripping a slender branch and surrounded by small sun dappled leaves.
