Clingy little dingus
Doesn't matter where I am, this little momma's boy always finds his way to naptime tucked in my arms. He qualifies as an old man at this point but he's always just a baby.
New diet seems to be helping and his hair is finally starting to grow back in a little.

Gawain’s histopathology results confirmed the mass was benign, but there was mammary tissue present so removing it was the right move as they have a higher risk of malignancy. He’s recovering well and gets his stitches removed on Monday.

Surgery went well and Gawain is recovering at home. He unfortunately will be in the cone of shame for 2 weeks which he’s not happy about. He’s being housed in the closet with me until the drugs wear off as he has tried to off himself one too many times in the few minutes since we’ve been home. 🙄

🐈 Archie results did not confirm lymphoma but due to the severity of his IBD, we will have to keep an eye on it as it may develop. Tapering to lower steroid dose. F/u in 3mo.
🐈⬛ Gawain has surgery on the 30th to extract tumor. Some improvement with pain symptoms. Loves the bed ramp which will help.

Gawain is thoroughly unimpressed with his new bed ramp. Archie, on the other hand, is very excited for his new angled scratching post. We’ll see how long the carpet on this thing lasts. Pretty sure I’m going to have to modify it to sisal rope in the near future. 🙄

Biopsy results as expected: IBD throughout GI tract, possible early signs of SCL. I opted for the DNA test to differentiate between IBD/lymphoma, results in 2-3wks. If it comes back + for lymphoma, he’ll start chemo immediately. But he’s starting to feel a bit better now that he’s back on steroids.

Biopsy results as expected: IBD throughout GI tract, possible early signs of SCL. I opted for the DNA test to differentiate between IBD/lymphoma, results in 2-3wks. If it comes back + for lymphoma, he’ll start chemo immediately. But he’s starting to feel a bit better now that he’s back on steroids.
They really did him dirty with the poodle cut but I consider it karma for the 8 hours I spent following him around like a DD herding drunks on a bar crawl. He was zonked out of his mind and the only 2 times he got away from me he immediately ran into something. 🤦🏻♀️

He’s home and procedure went as expected. Had to negotiate to get him to lay down and stop driving under the influence. The compromise was him burrowing himself into my side and my right arm is now numb.

Archie has bloodwork and a biopsy tomorrow morning so he is having an overnighter at the hospital tonight. Leaving me to deal with this derp for the night.

Not sure why he is the way that he is, but he stared at me for a solid 10 minutes because I had apparently gotten rid of a plastic he had formed an emotional attachment to and he couldn’t lay down to sleep without it. So here’s Archie cuddling his baggie.

Archie thinks he’s just begging for pets, but really he’s just reminding me that it’s time for his vitamin B12 shot. It’s his own fault as he probably could have gotten away with being stab-free for another couple of hours. 💉

The most adorable stage 5 clinger. His results came in today, summarized in second image. For now, he will continue the daily prednisolone and we will be adding B12 injections. The lymph nodes aren’t big enough to biopsy right now so we’ll have to monitor them. Poor kid is about to hate me. 💉

Poor little Archie’s IBD has reared its ugly head again and the kiddo has to go back on steroids next week after his ultrasound on Tuesday. Hopefully the ultrasound just confirms what we are seeing in his bloodwork and he won’t need to go back in for an endoscopy/biopsy. 🤞

Poor little Archie’s IBD has reared its ugly head again and the kiddo has to go back on steroids next week after his ultrasound on Tuesday. Hopefully the ultrasound just confirms what we are seeing in his bloodwork and he won’t need to go back in for an endoscopy/biopsy. 🤞
