We are past the offing himself stage, finally. He’ll have his stitches removed in two weeks. We just gotta keep them clean and dry until that time. That ramp is coming in real helpful now that the drugs have worn off. 👌

I’d rather do an extraction biopsy and only have to put him under once, rather than a sample biopsy only to find out that it needs to be removed & have to do it all over again. I hate putting either of them under at their age so I lean towards the more aggressive option. /3

If the biopsy confirms it’s benign, then removing it is merely cosmetic as it’s not causing him any discomfort. But if it’s not benign, we’d have to sedate him a second time to extract the malignancy which might have grown by that point. /2

He was actually pretty content in the box but definitely wanted to go home. They did a fine needle aspirate & the samples appear to be benign. Plan on having it biopsied soon to be certain but have to decide whether we should remove it at the same time. /1
