Learned how to post a TikTok today. It’s a whole different kind of platform because you have to really understand aesthetics and content splicing at scale. Less about creating a unique identity, more like becoming a part of a living organism.

I’ve never seen such a deep rift between the management class and the working class since the mainstreaming of AI. I saw a quote somewhere where AI is summarized as ‘the attempt of the wealthy to gain access to skilled labor without having to actually participate in labor.’

- Stop using Alphabet/Google, Meta, Microsoft etc. platforms as much as you possibly can.
- Build on OpenSource platforms.
- Learn how to self-host instead of using cloud.

It's not that I think using AI is lazy - that's like a whole moral judgment that's not necessarily helpful.
But I do believe using AI means you do not have faith in yourself. And if you don't believe in you, in your capacity to learn and grow and achieve, you're wasting everyone's time.

Can’t conceptualize the idea of a true self. Why do people spend so much time trying to categorize their life until they find it? It feels like a miserable replacement for Christianity.

Best thing I’ve done in the past year is join a 450,000 square-foot gym. I just walk there every day now. It’s the size of a small city and has everything: restaurants, barber, pool, gym (of course), clothing + general store, grocery store, salad bar, smoothie shop.
