Open knowledge sharing AND copyright are both under siege. Whether you are for one or the other doesn't matter.

This is a shared issue that's hitting "both sides". They are taking away YOUR choice, replacing it with regurgitation & centralisation while the open internet withers away.

📌 Instance🧵
They are making it impossible to host information online and drying up resources. Stop defending and supporting these malicious entities.
@time.com should be ashamed.

This channel does some truly amazing work trying to get the word out about who is in the Epstein Files. Very creative, not as informative as @ledbydonkeys.org, but very effective.

We are more than the data which describes us
The devil doesn't need any more advocates, but also: do you see the dehumanization in the move you made there?

We don't "sample", we interact. Language is fundamentally social and reducing people to their "output" is the basic problematic move of the AI boosters.

Downing Street has refused to say whether Sir Keir Starmer knew Palantir was a client of Peter Mandelson’s lobbying firm when they both visited the company in Washington last February — ahead of it winning a £240mn UK government contract.

I continue to be astonished how willing people are to use technology that lacks security by design.

You should check out what @zenitysec.bsky.social labs are doing to expose Openclaw aka Moltbook security issues and how easy it is to use to extract files from the users.

Thank you for writing about Gladys and all the other history about women who helped build and shape technology. I'd much rather read about them and what they did than the umpteenth vanity piece about the people who usually take credit for their work. ❤️
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.
