Really feeling this lately. Tolkien lived through the worst and had a deep understanding of despair. And hope.
Start low, aim high, meet in the middle and do it again next year.
Our NYE toast was “Here’s to 2026 being less shitty than 2025” so the bar is pretty low 🤷🏼‍♀️

Breaking: FIFA has already leaked the 2030 Peace Prize. It’s being awarded to a 3 week old pile of Gianni Infantino’s shit. Reports coming in that it’s an improvement over the 2026 award.

FIFA is a corrupt organization on par with the current Trump administration. They have never, and I suspect will not now, do anything to protect fans or players, or anyone nearby to these games. Best case scenario is that no one attends these matches.

The World Cup is only months away and FIFA is failing to ensure players fans, and immigrant communities here will be protected from increasingly authoritarian ICE activity.

FIFA must commit to enacting protections against racial profiling, arbitrary detention, and unlawful immigration enforcement.

Weird that Suarez would be targeted for suspension after such a spotless career.

Doesn’t look like the rankings are taking into account strength of schedule though.

Good. As a Liverpool fan, I found it difficult after Henderson left to give a shit about anything he had to say. Liverpool legend, but that doesn’t change the fact that he ruined his reputation and legacy by going to Saudi Arabia. Perhaps him and Bill Burr can have a pity party together.
Jordan Henderson has revealed he felt unable to watch Liverpool games on television after leaving the club in 2023.

“It felt like a breakup,” he explained.

For years I’ve put off watching My Dinner With Andre. Having now watched it, I understand it’s not for everyone. The first half was a struggle. It can be boring. But the second half really hit for me, and even 44 years later, some of the struggles discussed are as relevant now as they were then.

She deserves only derision for her opinions. We should honestly stop being appalled at these idiots and just start laughing in their faces and pointing at them for their clear stupidity.

Don’t worry guys. #Crew96 could make the playoffs even if they lose. 👍
September 28, 2025 at 1:44 AM
I don’t think this starting #Crew96 lineup could score 25 goals over an entire season. They look terrible with the ball.

Schulte and giving up easy goals.

I’d still run through (into) a brick wall for Nancy. Gotta trust he can pull this around for #Crew96. Even if we miss the playoffs or bow out quickly, I hope the fans/ownership don’t turn against him because that will be worse than any game result.

Picard and Habroune are promising but need more time. Abou Ali so far is everything I expect from him. If he can be fed the ball he’ll be dangerous. Love his work rate. Toronto on Saturday is a must win, but it honestly might already be too late.

I know it’s a road game on a baseball field reffed by Boiko, but that feels like a missed opportunity for #Crew96. Arfsten was invisible and disappointing. Tired from USMNT camp?
September 18, 2025 at 1:38 AM
I believe I screen capped this from the end of the last(first?) NYCFC match that Boiko reffed when Nancy was red carded but I might be misremembering. Zawadzki scored the tying goal late in that one, but we’ll need heroics from someone else tonight. Abou Ali?

Prepping this #Crew96 photo, just in case it’s needed tonight with Boiko in charge.

I’m not a fan of Miami so my bias is already there, but I’m still shocked that Suarez is able to play again this regular season. It’s not a first offense for him. I’m surprised the team and/or league didn’t bring him in with a stipulation of, don’t make us look bad by biting or spitting. Or else.
September 11, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Dilaver? I heard he won an intrasquad training skirmish that one time.
September 11, 2025 at 6:57 PM
I still subscribe to the belief that Daniel Gazdag deserves a full offseason with #Crew96 before a verdict can be given on him, but he is not enough of a difference maker to deserve a DP spot.
August 31, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Quiz: Does #Crew96 play more passes forward, or backward?

Relief #carving and #F1 on a lovely Saturday morning. Not a bad way to start the long weekend.
