The Orionids meteor shower has been active since Oct. 2, and is forecast to continue through Nov. 7. It peaks on Tuesday into Wednesday, or Oct. 21 to 22.

The shower can be seen from both hemispheres. Viewing conditions may be excellent this year because the moon is in its new phase.
