Birmingham Campus is ready to celebrate Black History Month!

Happy #WorldPostDay! Though #letters are rarer now, here’s some from 1915 during #WW1. They're addressed to Principal Salmon of the #Swansea Training College.

This letter was written in 1916 and it is addressed to Principal Salmon of Swansea training college. The text urges the college to black out the windows at night. Pattern books for designing cottages were popular at the beginning of the 19th century. In ‘A labourer’s cottage, who keeps poultry and pigs for sale,’ the main rectangle of the kitchen and bedroom is attached to a horizontal unit of three coops and two pigsties.
