My 21st Century superpowers are: being impervious to culture wars influencing, conspiracy theories and gambling ads

Politics, Music, Football and other random cultural ephemera
Perhaps the most insidious achievement of the Isreal Lobby is weaponising any criticism of it at all into “long standing antisemitic conspiracy theory”. The notion that there CAN be and IS nuance should be vigorously defended

Would far rather a situation where Putin’s far mongering prompts a properly strong reaction from Europe that one in which the U.S meekly accepts his “peace plan”.

Money for youth clubs. Money for arts. Cheaper business rates for independent shops. All promote community, all discourage digital silos, all prevent higher costs for mental health services down the line. But how of these measures were actually in the budget? 🧐

The United States is poised to recognise Russia’s control over Crimea and other occupied Ukrainian territories to secure a deal to end the war??

This is like our worst nightmare. Actually it’s something we could never have even imagined 20 years ago?

The country wants a wealth tax on assets.

They're panicking because "won't the rich just leave" has been utterly debunked.

They've got no actual argument.

I’m old enough to remember when NO ONE said anything about what was in a budget until the chancellor stood outside n11 with a red briefcase then read out its contents shortly after. PLEASE can today be the nadir for pre budget leaks, FFS

Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.
