I believe Nevada should invest in infrastructure. Nevada can put people to work by building passenger rail, pedestrian infrastructure, improving our parks, and building public facilities for the youth.

We can and should become a state to raise a family in.

I refuse to accept a society where the consequence for not being able to keep up with the cost of living is that you must live on a street corner forever and the consequence for stealing from millions of people is a nice office on Wall Street.

People cannot afford their rent. They can't afford their groceries. They can't afford childcare. They can't afford their health insurance. They can't buy a new car. They can't afford an emergency.

When is enough, enough? We must tax the rich and start working for every day Nevadans.

The old way of doing things is not working. It's time for a new generation of leadership.

No, I don't think we should structure our society around whether the little line goes up enough to give executives a fat bonus check. I think we should structure our society around providing for everyone.

A person making $12 an hour cannot afford a one bedroom apartment in Las Vegas. If your business plan relies on paying people less than they need to afford a roof over their head, you're not doing business. You're exploiting people.

It is not just the poor who benefit from these policies. If anything, it is those who earn too much to qualify for public services that would most benefit from rent caps, free childcare, public transport, and lower prices.

Lack of childcare can be life or death for families. If you lose your childcare, you lose your job.

We have a lack of seats, lack of accessibility, expensive costs, and now we are witnessing even more options close down to a lack of federal funding. This is a crisis - it's time to act like it.

Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club is closing it's doors. Families at Elaine Wynn Elementary have no other options for after school care, and no information has been sent out on when or what happens next. We will have to see if and when a Safekey can be brought to the school.

I'm not a traditional candidate. I didn't go to law school, I don't have a big home, I don't have corporate friends to pay for my campaign. I'm a working Mom who can't afford another rent increase.

1 in 5 children in Nevada live in poverty
3 out of 4 children aged 3-4 are not enrolled in preschool
1 in 3 children live in households with high housing costs

A family centered policy in Nevada must aim to lower poverty, lower housing costs, and make childcare affordable before anything else.

Forget a cap, we should ban all corporate investors from buying homes in Nevada. These homes are for people to live in, not assets for their financial portfolio.

Thanks for the fact check! NV Indy responds to my claim that Nevada has the second most cost-burdened renters in the country. Their conclusion? Correct. However, this isn't really MY claim. I'm just repeating what was already said in the news.

My platform is simple, invest in working people instead of rich corporations.

✅ Cap Rent Prices
✅ Universal, Free Childcare
✅ Raise Wages to $20 an hour
December 4, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Childcare is outrageously expensive in Nevada, not to mention hard to find. We can invest in not only universally free childcare but expanding our programs to every child under the age of 5 in Nevada. We obviously have the money, we can just use the money we just tried to offer to Sony.
December 3, 2025 at 5:02 PM
The capitalist belief system is that prices can never go down because that would cause a catastrophe and wages can also never go up or that would cause another catastrophe. We are told this is the greatest system in the world.
December 3, 2025 at 2:00 AM
The minimum wage in Nevada is too low. Wages across the board are so low that the average person in Las Vegas cannot afford to buy a home here. We must raise the wage to something we can actually afford to live on.
December 2, 2025 at 4:02 PM
I believe we should cap rent prices in Nevada, so they never go up by more than a set amount each year.
December 2, 2025 at 5:00 AM
Imagine living in a world where you don't have to compete with your neighbors for scraps, because everyone is guaranteed a bare minimum standard of living.

Thank you for writing about my story, Shelterforce! I was proud to do the work mobilizing community members to support stricter habitability laws for Nevada. No one should be forced to live with pests. shelterforce.org/2025/11/18/w...
Why Habitability Is a Growing Rallying Cry
Across the country, tenants and lawmakers are pushing for better standards around habitability: mold, cooling, and more. How did we get here?

Nevadans are worried that they won't be able to afford rent, that they can't put food on the table, or go to the doctor when they're sick. We need real solutions today - not more backroom deals with billionaires.
November 19, 2025 at 7:02 PM
It is not too much to ask that every person in Nevada earns a living wage. It is obscene to suggest that it is normal for wages to be too low to afford a decent home, gas in your car, and food on your table.
November 17, 2025 at 5:30 PM
I love my state. I have lived here my whole life.

I believe that we are losing this state to billionaires, who view us as a colony to extract wealth from. Year after year, we continue to give away public money to any billionaire who steps in and asks for it. And in return?

Data centers are coming to Nevada. These resource hoggers threaten to use up water resources and so much electricity that NV Energy is already upgrading the grid to power them all. We need to take legislative action immediately to prevent data centers from using more resources than we can afford

Nevada has the fourth most expensive housing market in the country, and the second most cost burdened renters. We can fix this:

✅ Cap Rent Prices
✅ Build Up, Not Out
✅ Invest in affordable housing
