Isn't it so funny? They're allowed to buy up all the electricity and make you pay for the costs but you're not allowed to do anything about it. Don't speak up! Don't march! Don't touch the building! Because then YOU might be the criminal.

the National Association of Realtors endorsed Trump's bill advocating for Medicaid and SNAP cuts. The Nevada chapter donates massive sums to Democrats and demands a role in shaping policy in return. Is it normal for a republican org to tell democrats what bills to pass?

Nevada has become the home of corporate excess. The state with the 4th most expensive housing, the most expensive childcare in the country, the lowest wages, the worst school district, and a legislature who has dedicated themselves to giving our money to the rich.

We were promised a fair shot at life. We were told that we could climb the ladder, that even the poorest among us could afford a decent standard of living. Instead they stole it all away from us and started rounding up the people who disagree.

It seems like the plan is to force the bottom 25% of incomes into the streets and then arrest them for it - there’s no other reasonable logic to ending social programs & criminalizing poverty at the same time

US liberals talk about protecting democracy a lot but they seem to revile it in practice. the idea that a politician should ever be required to do anything to win votes, rather than simply represent an amorphously 'good' or 'bad' team, is treated as some sick heresy
