Ellyrie’s relationships play a significant role in her character arc. It’s hard to not be empathetic toward a found family. :)

It causes setbacks, too, though. When people get hurt, Ellyrie wants to push people away. It’s easier to be apathetic.

I’ve never read any John Langan and I should probably fix that!
It’s distressing. My husband is a veteran, too, (he just retired two years ago) and we have been talking about how awful it’d be to watch it all while in. It would be absolutely miserable.
Maybe not this crowd as we kind of touch on all the points in this all the time, but I really wish everyone would watch this. Great discussion.

Thank fuck. I can’t even.

As an American, seeing such is a slap in the face. As a veteran, it is a dishonor.
Someone put together a list of the new Bluesky US gov accounts in case folks want to block them. These are essentially pumping out state-run propaganda at this point: bsky.app/profile/eva....
But go off, I guess. We still know the administration is full of mouth breathers. 🖕🏻
VRE counselors have so much on their plate that they “forget” things they say they’ll do. Fail to meet their own deadlines. And, well, don’t even really counsel anyone.

So, while yall sit on social media acting like children, veterans are trying to get their shit sorted with a system that is broke.
We have different definitions of “best”.

Healthcare providers are stretched thin and can’t provide adequate, timely care. I switched to a private provider (which I shouldnt have to do) and they did in a few months what the VA failed to do for three years. Patient advocacy is a joke, too.
That is definitely a cute look!!!
Husband said if I can get 10 kills in 1 Fortnite BR match, he’ll buy me a book. And I get 5 tries.

I can do it anyway (he’s got no faith)! BUT a book on the line? Boy, ya better pull out your wallet.

I’m doing it later as I’m debating a Sunday nap. But results coming soon.
It’s a lot! I should probably find a video or something that lays it all out there plainly lol
You read multiple things at once, too? 😃

I’m finally reading Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell and The Devils by Joe Abercrombie.
Ooooo! I need to check this out!
Someone recently suggested this to me. I’ve never read it but apparently it’s right up my alley. 🙃
Yes. It’s extremely overwhelming. 😅

I want to make a new, additional publication that better fits some of my content, yet I know that I’m not even fully aware the extent of everything we can do on Substack.
What books are yall currently reading??

Tell meeee
I present….

Art.
I love whatever is wrong with them 🙂‍↕️
Teddy Ruxpin was a warning. 😂
Update. I think it was The Oremere Chronicles by Helen Scheuerer!
I read a book a while back with something of the sort, too. And no I want to reread it but can’t remember the title. 😩 I think it was romantasy.
Had a dream that I lived in a tree house type society. Like an Ewok.

Soooo, I say we form one!

My kiddo got an invitation to join Phi Theta Kappa. Told him I was proud of him. Then we did a dance.

He asked if I’m a member of that and told him fuck no as it took me 5 tries to complete school and only this last run was a good one.

He said, “Well, I’m proud of you.”

And we did another dance.

So important!

We all get along better when we understand and empathize with the complexity of humans versus trying to shove people in little boxes they don’t fit in.
#AceWeek

Men's voices are often overlooked in this community. I write about my own experiences to show other men out there who are ace/demi or think they might be ace/demi, that they are not alone. They are not broken or weird for not feeling what the men around them seem to feel.
