Has anyone found a use for the scraps after making homemade soup broth? I have seen it dried out and turned into bouillon powder or used as compost, but have never tried it.

Are there any plant folx here? I cannot remember the name of this flowering shrub and my Googling isn't yielding any results. It's about 3' tall with purple flowers that fall off and come back each day. Located in Pennsylvania.
