I think I’m due another Halt and Catch Fire rewatch. It’s in my Top 5 favorite shows; has some of my fave all-time characters; and captures a far more exciting, optimistic side of the tech industry (set in the 80s and 90s). Also, Paul Haslinger’s synth score is 🔥🔥🔥.

Vehlinggo has always had a nostalgia tinge, but when I started it in 2014, nostalgia felt much less weaponized than it does now. (Nostalgia for that which never really existed is especially bad and weaponizable.)

Kanopy absolutely rules. It’s a fantastic (and free with no ads) streamer you get with a library card. I’m so glad the talented folks at Movie Jawn are highlighting the service.

I’ve been getting too many AI submissions. Press releases and emails written with AI are unfortunate but tolerable. The music, tho? I’m not rewarding you for your prompt-writing game.
