I know as a grown man I don't need to apologize repeatedly for slow art progress but I need to emphasize that January in particular sends me into a frenzy because this time of the year I have to do so much paperwork and pay massive amounts to the government and then get fucking nothing in return!!!

I love hearing the other side of "if I'd been born several centuries earlier some merchant could have been paying me to huff chemicals and paint dicks on churches", which is "if I'd been born several centuries earlier I'd sell hella silk and pay a guy to huff chemicals and paint dicks on churches".

Underrated point of discussion with the AI + social media uproar is giving thanks to patrons of the arts, especially non-artists, who are willing to put in the effort to support artists at a time when it has never been easier or more normalized to do the opposite.
