That first Chalcoscirtus lass I found, in 2022, and figured she was a baby of some larger species (some Phidippus spiderlings look similar). But no, she's full grown, tiny, and lovely. 🖤

When I saw the first male much later, I didn't know who he was either, but with some help from salticid scientists we put the two together. It can be hard to tell just from fields pictures if a female jumping spider is an adult or a baby, but males are usually unmistakable with their big palps.

Wandered in the dark for awhile this evening, found a creature I'd only seen once before: Phidippus otiosus! They're not rare necessarily, there's just not as much of their happy habitat up where I live. This lass was deep in a swamp, under cypress bark, with her egg sac 🤍 #EmotionalSupportSpood

General reminder for the major patch day / "addon apocalypse" - If you want to save your addon data (trp3 profiles and such), you should back up your WTF folder in your game install location. I find doing "Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder" to be fairly space-efficient and a quick method.
