Here's my unboxing and review of Beyond Shadowgate for the PC!
(Note that this is not the same as the 1993 Turbo Grafx CD game of the same name.)
It's a sequel to the NES version, and looks and plays just like it!
Check it out here:

I have a lot of high-quality box art of NES games as high-resolution .PNGs, but I don't have cartridge label images on hand.

Does anyone have a high-res .PNG of the CARTRIDGE LABEL of Mega Man 2?

The original Battletoads game was just released on the NES "Nintendo Classics" app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers!
Here are TerraEsperZ's maps on VGMaps.com: The Video Game Atlas:

Here's "Terra Tubes" (how fitting!), and the map of "The Revolution" is animated!

Capcom would get more red "like" votes if only they had plans for more Mega Man games...

Konami is just... wow... don't know if it can be saved, but maybe if they had plans for more Castlevania games...

I am legit surprised that I can't just buy Transformers stickers, specifically official-looking Autobot/Decepticon logos off of Amazon.
Not car decals!
I mean like small ones I can stick to household things, like my computer, appliances, etc.

Why are mere stickers not a thing?

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Dug up my old Freakazoid!: Season 1 DVD, and saw this.
Took me a second to remember that I had gotten Bruce Timm to autograph it.

The first wave of amiibo, Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, and Pokémon: Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby all came out on Nov. 21, 2014 (11 years ago), and it was apparently "Nintendo Day".

I found my old photo of that day's haul.
Why don't they do "Nintendo Day" every year?

Want to play Kirby: Air Riders after seeing the boss returning from K:SS/K:PR, but I don't like playing multiple games at once, still have to finish PL:Z-A on my own and K&tFL:N2SE+S-CW with my bro, and HW:AoI and MP4:B take priority... so much for Switch 2 "not having games"!

Astronaut close-ups on movie posters.
What am I missing?

On the 35th anniversary of the Super Famicom, I'll teach you how to multilate your Super NES (lolwut).

Inside the cartridge slot of your North American SNES, bend the two tabs with pliers until the tabs snap off.

Congrats, you can now play Super Famicom games on your SNES (without a converter)!

Though it came out a few days earlier in Europe, Donkey Kong Country's release date of Nov. 21, 1994 (31 years ago!) is ingrained in my memory as one of the first game release dates I took note of, and one that I still remember, because of its aggressive marketing campaign.

I have mixed thoughts on various "console wars", but I did appreciate Nintendo's confidence in 1994 to call out Sega directly.
(Weirdly, though it was negative towards it, it still felt like it was also advertising for Sega's 32X for them...)

Planning a Transformers-related event, so I'm looking for red and purple stuff (you know, in reference to the Autobot and Decepticon logos), and I am legitimately annoyed that these flavours of popcorn seasoning don't come in the same size (not shown to scale here).

I made a better version of the "Crono TRIGGERED" .GIF.
Also, this is me when others say they "finished" Chrono Trigger, but didn't play New Game+, the second playthrough with about a dozen endings (you challenge Lavos at various times), which I consider the REAL meat of the game.

Everyone wants a Super Smash Bros. movie, but... what would be the story?
Tabuu, Dharkon, Galeem, etc. need to be hinted at in other Nintendo movies long before such a movie. They are villains that only exist in SSB games, and I doubt many Nintendo fans know/care who they are.

Please stop using "this DID NOT have to go THIS HARD!"

In a world where we're always shortchanged, when something awesome does go more intensely than expected, enjoy it! Don't discourage it! Be grateful!

Even if it's not meant to be literal, it's an old and tired catch phrase. Say something new!

The GameCube is 24 years old today (based on its North American release date).
For like a year leading up to it, I remember rewatching the Spaceworld 2000 GameCube demo reel probably dozens, if not over a hundred times.
Seeing Link, Ganondorf and Samus was amazing!

It's Mickey Mouse's birthday today!
Which Mickey Mouse game do you think is the best?
I like The Magical Quest: Starring Mickey Mouse.

Everyone's allowed their own opinion on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and The Legend Of Zelda movie.
It's still early, but you can like or dislike them. You can even say so.
But if you're hating JUST for attention or clout, then no one cares what you think. Just another boring opinion.

I'll reserve my judgment for games until AFTER I play them.

The best James Bond movie is 30 years old today. Three decades. Three-tenths of a century. Feel old yet?

GoldenEye is the first 007 movie that I saw while it was new, and one of the only movies I've seen more than once in a theatre.
November 17, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Old news to some, but whenever people voice concerns about The Legend Of Zelda movie being live-action, I'm surprised the Imagi Studios pitch (~2007) for an animated one isn't mentioned much at all.

Yes, Nintendo passed on this, but it's still interesting, is it not?
