Thank you! You're right about the colour to be fair! Though sister had a light blue one a green one, and a silver one!

The rear lights honestly hold up shockingly well. I particular like the way they form an 's' in the bodyline from the doors to the boot. They had fun sprucing up an ordinary design

Changeover year from MK2 was 89 so yeah very early! A lot of it seems to have been made in 89 too. Although he's definitely seen some life, he's actually a fairly original survivor. (I added the 2006 RDS radio as it had a modern head unit) It's technically meant to have the original shape Sound 2000

Okay then, I'll post it here as well as a future video. Here is Felix the Fiesta! Felix needs some work but was very cheap and saved from being a scrapper! I've wanted a a MK3 Fiesta for about 4 years, so what better way to start than a nugget rescue of a little 1.1L (Popular Plus)

The HDD in this one died so a flash mod is no longer negotiable! 😂 To be fair, I'd been meaning to since I originally unearthed it in 2020 but the drive finally gave in around 2023 or so. An extended capacity battery will do nicely too I think! 😌

Very much agree. I'm reminded I really need to flash mod mine and fit a new battery and bring it back! Especially as you can get a 30pin iPod connection kit for the Ford 6000CD in our Mondeo. 😌

Heroic efforts by @vhschloe.bsky.social today trying to get my Panasonic VZ200 to kick into life ahead of fitment to the Starion. We tried but could not get the cassette mechanism to work nor any sound.. Still, it looks like the car in question needs a new slave cyl now, so bigger fish it would seem

Working on cleaning out the heater flue on Ronald the caravan and had this friend with me for a few hours! They were amazingly tame and just enjoyed all the bugs coming out! It's moments like this that make me happy in this world. Really brightened me up. 🥰

Yep, our housing market is absolutely cooked! Think NYC real estate prices. Studio apartments in London that are tiny are extremely expensive.

Knowing what these old Pioneer belt drive lasers are like, it's anyone's guess if it does now, unfortunately. Sorry to waste your time, I can't handle the stress of another one of those units. 😅

You might say: "It's just a belt, right?" Yeah, I'm sure I could find one. But it required full disassembly of the loading mech, which ruined the timings of it. I literally couldn't figure out how to put it back together after that. I vowed to never work on another unless it was cheap.

Oh it does, bah! That was one of the stereos that defeated me when dad asked me to fix his early 90s Pioneer head unit. Nightmare to get to and a really weird size.

I could be tempted by this. Does it work alright? Some of those old Pioneers had belt drive laser carriages that were really annoying. Hopefully this one doesn't.
