i've been refreshing my knowledge of the myth of andromeda and perseus and here's some details that i don't think i ever knew before.
1. perseus didn't ride pegasus. he already had winged sandals anyway. but all the painters were like you can't put a pegasus in the story and not have him ride it.

picked up silksong after a break and i'm ready to say it, the death mechanics in both hollow knight games are bad. they're otherwise incredible games but chasing down your own ghost is a tedious chore at best. it's never good and frequently bad.

currently going down a wikipedia rabbit hole because i saw that chimps’ scientific name has “troglodyte” in it.
troglodyte means cave dweller but the real usage case is more like “weird foreigners who are interesting but definitely inferior to us.” the word goes back to ancient greece.
