Y'know, I've never seen that one. And admittedly, I haven't really watched a lot of (mainstream) media about sex work.

I remember barely being able to get through Pose because of how fucking often it made me actually cry and my roommates at the time (often queer, not trans or SWers) didn't get why.

This is where they often START, BEFORE they get desperate, because treating women this way is just what the world presents as an unproblematic, direct and sensible approach for them.

Right, exactly this. I am not a good representative case because of many reasons but the wild thing about me is that I'm actually absurdly overqualified for many tech jobs (as I think I've let slip here now and again) and I still couldn't get work when I wanted to try, even before transition. So…. 🤯

Exactly. It's the same as what's historically been true for trans women now coming to threaten cis women.

We (trans women) already tended to make 60¢ to the dollar for every 80¢ cis women and $1 men made, and so many trans women have already become FSSWers for this reason.
