Sint Maarten has what is called the world’s tallest zip line, at more than 1000 feet. This is the Flying Dutchman, and yes, it goes all the way down that. It was awesome! @visitstmaarten.bsky.social

From the ruins of Fort Louis, the French capital of Saint-Martin, Marigot, is just stunning! The fort was built in the late 18th century, but decommissioned in the 1850s. @visitstmaarten.bsky.social

Back from St. Martin, and wow what a wonderful time it was! There will be 6 articles coming, starting next week, so I hope you’re all looking forward to those.

And in the meantime, we will do a couple historical threads on here. Because I love those!

A pic of me!

Philipsburg’s courthouse is the emblem on the flag of Sint Maarten. While it has been refurbished on several occasions, it is still in use today! @visitstmaarten.bsky.social

A random highlight today: a breeding ground (cliff) for brown pelicans. Note the chick in the center. There were probably at least 50 more pelicans just outside of this zoomed frame. @visitstmaarten.bsky.social
