The pool of Grand Case Beach Club in #stmartin seems to end in the sea. In fact, it is elevated on top of a rock, dividing its two beaches. The peninsula is known to be a great place to enjoy a #Caribbean #Sunset on island, and heigth adds to the experience.

This tiny St Maarten / St Martin beach is called Lovers Beach. Probably because it is not easy to reach and has place for two people.

When building Fort Amsterdam in 1631, the Dutch overlooked that their cannons did not cover all of Great Bay. The Spanish sailed in easily on the far (now #cruise) side in 1633 and kept it until 1648.
