unmotivated misanthrope suggests: a little less enthusiasm, please
Pinned
Need is a weasel word, a word for weasels; weasels need.

People want, sometimes really want, and sometimes collectively agree to the utility of the things they really want.

I can promise you that neither of us need to live.

You get a gold sticker if nothing on your website moves without me telling it to do so.
Automatically updating content can be extremely distracting, especially for users with vestibular disorders or attention difficulties. This could force users to scroll through page content to not see the animation, or to just look away. Allow animations to be paused or stopped.

Do you have any examples of those liberal critiques of anarchist activism?

The things one does to become Hortator.

Yeah, don't look into fish or trees.

weird enforcment going on with this "violation." i didn't write the post. I reposted it from someone else's account. it doesn't actually violate any specific rules. bigots on this site say way worse shit about marginalized groups and it's not considered a problem. Blusky mods are fuckin evil, man.

Bruh. If no "AI" content made it into the game (lol, lmao even), why are you self reporting?

"Teacher! What about yesterday's homework that I didn't do?"

🤦

Who?

It's quite common, but I wouldn't say tables of stats are a requirement.

I'd say writing the characters as if they were self aware in a role playing game is what defines it.

Basically just the gamification of reality by reality.

Funnily enough, I don't remember seeing any character sheets and I just started book six.

I think Matt Dinniman does a good job of integrating stat changes into dialog.

Thanks for the alt text!

Though some data or jumbled letters made it in.

That ain't even a name and numbers. That's just a word (don't @ me with the origin of names) and some numbers.

Yes, it is aggravating.
January 6, 2026 at 11:42 PM
Calling someone weird might give you good results if you're trying to upset them.
January 5, 2026 at 12:24 AM
Is there some context to that?
January 5, 2026 at 12:02 AM
What's it called?

This sub-post brought to you by someone defending people supposedly not saying what they mean.

I'm going to assume you mean it when you tell me that the suffering of my friends and family are a distraction.

It seems like many people have so low a level of tolerance to discomfort that their speech is much the same as bird shot and the crying of an infant. They fire indiscriminately, but unlike an infant, they have the tools to communicate clearly.

If only they had more patience and empathy.
January 4, 2026 at 12:22 AM
Hopefully you have to imagine, but how does being told that the things harming you are just distractions feel? Do you feel safe around those people?

Telling someone that is minimizing their suffering, belittling their existence, and centering yourself.

Is that okay? Is that what you want to do?

"Source," he grunts in demand at someone retelling their experience, and holds his head open, brains leaking, as he waits for the thoughts he feels entitled to have given to him.

Perhaps a disgruntled devil in one of the hells took a sip from the stream of fate, for no one thought of him again.
January 3, 2026 at 9:13 AM
Dang, that idea felt absurd enough.

Gremlins then, I guess.

Have you tested the power button?

Somebody's been adding too much compression to the mix because the sotto is nearly as loud as much of the sopra.
