What a contrast in books. I finished Melissa, a young girls quest to play Charlotte in Charlotte's Web and the obstacles that prevent her because she's perceived as a boy, 4.5⭐. Tender is the Flesh, explores the most depraved parts of humanity and what it means to be hungry and human, 4.25⭐.

Just when I think it can't get any worse, it does. 😭 Finished but at what cost. Holy shit.
There's a prequel?? I'm so glad you told me so I can reserve it after Elatsoe, thank you!
Here's my current reads! I'm also reading Sailor Moon on the side but I think I'm going to finish Melissa and maybe Tender is the Flesh today, we'll see!

That's amazing, I can't wait to read it!
I read some really great books over the last month, here's all my stars! If you want to see my reviews for these books you can check out my StoryGraph. I will be going back to the DNF to immersive read (audio along was too difficult for me)

What have your favorite books been this month?

Easily my favorite book of the year, a 5 ⭐ read for me. The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer talks about reciprocity in a consumer world. I highly recommend this short read.

I managed to pick up some real gems this last September, I'm so excited to read them. I've got some pretty big updates in terms of what I've read so far, especially now that I'm using Libby too, coming soon!

If you don't have empathy in life, you'll never get my sympathy in death and that's all there really is to it.

SO, I made a discord server for a new banned book club! A bit late in the month but we're reading Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas this month. We've got a book related Q's, banned book resources, a writing corner, & memes!

If anyone would like to join us, here's the link:

I'm a disabled trans author living with food insecurity.

Please back my Kickstarter comic, Kobra Olympus #3.

It's a standalone story about a transbian Muslim superhero wrestling with daily life and a Vampiric conspiracy who gets tech and info from the future.
