Thanks, I guess 🤷

Wow, 2026's started even stronger.
Just a couple of weeks after Nadella's "everyone must use AI, otherwise tech won't justify spending", the leadership everywhere is organizing "trainings" and "knowledge sharing sessions"

With the amount of spam about US politics in my timeline, I truly need a content filtering on Bluesky, that blocks reposts base on their semantic labels. Matching on exact word is way too naive for 2026

Does "agentic first" 2026 predictions imply that projects will have AGENTS-md files, that are generally more useful than their README files?

Been trying pi-agent with gemini-3-flash-preview model lately, and it's gone surprisingly fine.
In a large code base, gemini still tends to fall into hallucinating things, when asked to "spec out the system". But for simple, "fix that" or "why this" tasks, it goes pretty nice for a free-tier.

People remember Prometheus the movie's MedPods as an example of an agentic system, that autonomously extract an alien from Dr. Shaw.
People don't remember, that in the lore of the movie, there were only dozen of these pods, patented and made by a corporation, which also hunted for bioweapon.

Personalised AI search results (in Perplexity) are actually terribly annoying in its irrelevancy, it's turned out. Won't be surprised much when by the second half of 2026 the product will be full of ads and other random integrations
When AI overview gets personalised flavour, no one asked:

Tahoe is the pain for the eyes, that keeps pushing at the wound.
They couldn't decide if a button in the round corner should be round or a pill, so they went with something in between (screenshot from built-in messages app)

Last year Slack changed the order of menu items in messages' dropdown, moving the "Edit message" to the top. Since then, every single day, I've been struggling with my muscle memory, as it forces me to first move the cursor to the third section of the menu, where the Edit action used to seat.

Spent a couple holidays nights at the keyboard, porting FreeBSD driver's build system to Zig

1. zig build -Doptimize=ReleaseFast
2. file zig-out/if_brcmfmac.ko
ELF 64-bit LSB relocatable, x86-64, version 1 (FreeBSD)
3. kldload ./zig-out/if_brcmfmac.ko

#ziglang 🎉
After 42 min of claude-coding, we have a FreeBSD port of Linux brcmfmac (Broadcom FullMAC WiFi) driver for BCM4350 chip.
The module is based on LinuxKPI; it compiles and loads without kernel panic on a FreeBSD 15 VM.
