i cant believe how many people are out doing last minute christmas shopping. traffic is insane in town. you'd think that after 2,025 years people would have learned by now to get your shopping done a bit earlier, no?

what's insane is that people think spotify is the only way to receive music without buying it outright. apple, tidal, qobuz, all cheaper or equal to spotify in terms of price, but have massively better payouts. hell even youtube music pays out more than spotify and you dont even have to pay for it.
"buying music is expensive but i wanna support artists and spotify is the only option for that" i have a tip for you:
pirate all the music you want. all of it. no matter how much. set aside each month a spotify subscription's worth of money and use that to buy something off of bandcamp or itunes.

unfortunately many of them require i successfully navigate NYC and just trying to figure it out gives me a headache
2026 is shaping up to be the year of concerts. so many bands are coming to the us. as someone who listens to mostly european metal, its a really big deal that several of my bands will be here!

also my coworkers went out last night without me. i was invited, but it was a sympathy invite ("oh you can come too if you want..."). its cus they were going drinking, so i get it, but then its just like, wow people really have no clue how to hang out and have fun without alcohol, huh?
