(2/3) In 1987, Jiménez won his first Grammy for his album “Ay Te Dejo en San Antonio” – or “I’ll leave you in San Antonio.” In the following years, he worked with fellow musician Doug Sahm on a few projects. Jiménez, Sahm, Augie Meyers and Freddy Fender formed the Texas Tornados.

(2/3) For the next decade, Los Lonely Boys were on fire. They collaborated with rock legends like Carlos Santana, Willie Nelson again and with their own dad. They were part of the artists who recorded a John Lennon tribute album to raise money for Amnesty International’s “Save Darfur” campaign.
(1/3) Their single “Heaven” was a number one hit, and the album was on Billboard’s Top 200 chart for 18 months. In 2005, they earned their first Grammy for the single.
