#chesspunks I cannot explain the pure joy and excitement of being at Checkmate: USA vs India. We had VIP tickets and my wife and I were able to bring our daughter who got her closeup in the official @chess.com stream!! The roar of the crowd and the payers were enough to invigorate me. #chess

Okay #chesspunks maybe I can get some clarification. I played a hell of a game, 10 moves into book of Ruy Lopez until I pushed a4 on move 11. I get they "why" but I just don't get the when I guess. Maybe someone can explain it to me like I'm 5.

Okay #chesspunks maybe I can get some clarification. I played a hell of a game, 10 moves into book of Ruy Lopez until I pushed a4 on move 11. I get they "why" but I just don't get the when I guess. Maybe someone can explain it to me like I'm 5.

Boooooom!!! #cheespunks I have been working so hard to get here. The last time I was close I tilted and dropped to almost 2450. I took time off, came back to chess, and FINALLY was able to hit this! (And it's difficult when you lose 75 points getting 2 wrong but only gain 5 when right) 😂.

Crazy I didn't see the Mate in 2 when I played Nh5+ at the end of the game. I was simply wanting to open up my dark squared bishop. I spent way more time than I should have before playing Nf6# because I was looking at where to place my bishop 🤣. Thinking in chess is weird #chesspunks
