#chesspunks I cannot explain the pure joy and excitement of being at Checkmate: USA vs India. We had VIP tickets and my wife and I were able to bring our daughter who got her closeup in the official @chess.com stream!! The roar of the crowd and the payers were enough to invigorate me. #chess

Boooooom!!! #cheespunks I have been working so hard to get here. The last time I was close I tilted and dropped to almost 2450. I took time off, came back to chess, and FINALLY was able to hit this! (And it's difficult when you lose 75 points getting 2 wrong but only gain 5 when right) 😂.

Why would I want to play Re8+ to win the bishop and complicate the position when I could just take the queen? There is no mate. The continuation was

This seems overly complex when taking the queen just flat out decides it.
