For big boss battles, do you count damage dealt downwards or upwards? I've thought about trying a multi-stage battle where I count upwards, but curious what opinions are out there

What's the funniest/best trap you've came across for a dungeon? My favorite was one I found on a forum once where there's a bear trap that when you disarm it, it drops a live bear on their head 😂

What's your favorite content to make (NPC's, stat blocks, items, maps etc.)? I like laying out maps and rooms. It's fun for me to work on each room to tell a cohesive story.

I really like this approach. One of the BBEG's in a session I'm working on is really weak (can be one or two-shotted easily) but keeps the pressure up with waves of enemies.

RPG tip from the archive: Use waves of monsters to keep the pressure up in great big battles. Bring out the boss last.
