Before this becomes even more of a discourse, as someone who works in software engineering / devops, none of this is cheap. Hosting, data storage, load balancing, DB clusters, they all cost money. And if you want it to be reliable/scalable it costs even more money.
That new gulpr thing essentially locks pets, galleries and even stomach capacity and pets, all behind monthly subscriptions. You get a small amount for free, but it's obvious they expect you to pay the more you play

man it sucks they already took down Gulpr, I had a lot of fun talking and meeting new people on there :(
But i also wish that they are more transparent about it, like there is still no public post that i at least can see of SloshDogs even talking about Gulpr or that's its being pulled down for now
