Changing others' eating habits is hard.

Maybe adopting (without cultural appropriation) the sacred aspect of meat eating is a more attainable non-colonialist approach.
My parents had depression-hardened thrift instilled into them. During the 1970s oil crises, they only consumed meat on Sundays.
