This quote serves equally well for #Fascism as it does #ClimateChange and indeed so much else. It's well past time we got serious and a great many of us, our leadership most of all, remain as frivolous, under-informed & drastically unsuited to the challenge as we've ever been. #ClimateSky
The road to #Fascism is paved by people telling you to stop overreacting (that's not a Bradbury quote but a fundamental Truth of our time). Many of us called out every step of the path, so many more just lazily sniffed that they "don't pay attention to politics" #Fahrenheit451 #RayBradbury #America

We have family living in a rural area 750 km away. They have an EV that they (usually) take to visit us.

They take it instead of their big pickup truck (even in a Canadian winter). It’s nice.
I'm definitely not a car guy but it does surprise meI'm definitely not a car guy but it does surprise me given the way we used to talk about climate that people are so negative about good cars that emit no CO2!

These Denver-area governments managed to hold on to a $200 million federal climate grant, and are putting it toward heat pumps.
Colorado group looks to boost heat pumps with $200M federal grant
It’s a rare example of a Biden-era climate grant moving forward under Trump — and could grow heat pump adoption across the Denver area.

This new report proves North Carolina hasn’t jeopardized farmland to become a solar power leader.
Is solar really overrunning farmland? Data in North Carolina says no.
Arrays occupy a “minuscule” share of farmland even though the state is a solar leader, a new study finds — belying claims from the Trump admin and others.

I’m just learning about bitumen as a carbon-fibre precursor, a huge value-added possibility that doesn’t even seem to be on the table. They’re blinkered into one tiny vision of one narrow industry. Holy lack of imagination. I guess excessive lobbying does that.

Climate change can be brutal.

The more our planet warms, the more extreme heat and extreme cold weather replaces regular mild weather.

A hotter planet brings extreme heat and extreme cold to almost all homes more regularly.
