This quote serves equally well for #Fascism as it does #ClimateChange and indeed so much else. It's well past time we got serious and a great many of us, our leadership most of all, remain as frivolous, under-informed & drastically unsuited to the challenge as we've ever been. #ClimateSky
The road to #Fascism is paved by people telling you to stop overreacting (that's not a Bradbury quote but a fundamental Truth of our time). Many of us called out every step of the path, so many more just lazily sniffed that they "don't pay attention to politics" #Fahrenheit451 #RayBradbury #America

Since Galileo's time, politicians and ideologues have always tried to interfere with science. It's worse than ever today.

Iowa is a wind power leader. But a new project is hard to come by these days as federal tax credit cuts, community opposition, and permitting slowdowns all pile up.

From @insideclimatenews.org:
How Iowa has turned against wind
Facing staunch local opposition and federal roadblocks, a new wind project in Iowa is teetering on the brink, despite growing power demand.

And also threatening that if she doesn't get a say, she will withhold funding for new judicial appointments.

MELINDA GATES: “It brings back memories of some very painful times in my marriage — They need to answer to those things, not me.”

It’s been a year of having using a flag to create a conversation instead confrontation.

Through effective non verbal communication I can clearly share with drivers what space is required for cycling safety.

This is the most significant thing I’ve ever done for my personal safety.

Version 2 soon!
I made a thing and I think I ❤️ it!

Repurposing a child’s kickstand and an ATV flag to create a visual reminder of what 3 feet is for drivers.

It’s hard to gauge distances at speed. This flexible and strong flag should provided much needed space to my family as we use our #CargoBike for travel.

of fucking *course* "we should stop worrying so much about climate change" is part of the groupthink of the Epstein-affiliate bubble. just like with racist pseudoscience, all these guys want to hear is "current power arrangements are good & natural and the problem is the people concerned about them"
Oh look here's Bari Weiss's new CBS contributor Peter Attia telling his pal Jeffrey in 2015 that an extraordinarily nasty climate denial screed by Matt Ridley is "pretty good piece"

here's what Attia was praising:
