The Common and the Goose is an anonymous English poem from around the mid 18th century which tells of how common land was legally stolen and privatised by enclosure.

The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common
But leaves the greater villain loose
Who steals the common from the goose.

The law demands that we atone
When we take things we do not own
But leaves the lords and ladies fine
Who take things that are yours and mine.

The fact that Trump can't be reasoned with is why it's necessary to have a democratic alternative. People tried to reason with Harris. She refused, proved herself not to be a genuine alternative to Trump, and lost the election for it.

Last event I did with @vsevolodplotkin.bsky.social was unreal (Daylight since got a new projector to celebrate). Healy is a criminally neglected author. Paul's film characteristically manages to do the impossible and captures his multitudes. The extended cut is 20 minutes longer than the final one!
