I can see how a workplace might end up scheduling messages to unsucessful applicants at the end of the week. However, a lot more places do it than you'd think. When you're applying regularly, suddenly getting 4 rejections between 5.30pm and 6pm on a Friday feels like being shot in the head👍

Also classic case of a guy who is not really into music, let alone music writing discourse, using a news peg to write a fluff piece repeating an old narrative about a musician he likes for an imagined, similarly breezy, audience, unaware it will be scruntinized by people with Pazz-And-Jop poisoning

johnny cash "cool" stuff: textbook combination of a writer's slightly embarassing belief that a marketing narrative, for the American series, was a personal revelation, a bad subhead focusing on this faulty framing rather than the actual point of the piece (a johnny cash lyric book) and a paywall.
