Donald Trump isn’t an authoritarian. He’s a mobster or, more accurately, he is emulating the mobsters he interacted with in New York. He is using the power of the federal government to extort, pressure and coerce institutions and individuals to do what he wants. It’s governance by threat.

Seems to me, Trump got a little too big for his britches because he got away with attacking Venezuela and kidnapping their president. But it’s not going to go down that way when he takes on all of NATO over Greenland.

I don't think Americans understand: when you finally rid yourselves of this president, things don't go back to normal with Canada or the rest of the world. The US is now an unreliable partner. It will take decades to regain our trust.

Congress can legally create an ‘alternate body’ to perform the Cabinet's and/or VP’s role in invoking the 25th Amendment. The Constitution is murky on what form that takes, but it is allowable.

Senate Republicans (and maybe a few in the House) don’t care about the country, but they do care about their jobs. It may occur to them that removing Trump from office now could help stem the tsunami that’s coming for them in November. He is their main liability. #25thAmendmentNow
