Construction workers face some of the highest suicide rates of any industry, more than twice the national average. A somber reminder for World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10, 2025, to check in with those around you, ask for help, and offer help.

Thank you, @governorferguson.bsky.social, for championing working people and making this a convention we’ll never forget!

PLAs ensure fair wages, protect workers’ rights, and ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest standards. With this executive action, Washington is once again leading the way in putting workers first and building a future we can all be proud of.

By signing an executive order requiring PLAs on critical infrastructure projects over $35M, the Governor has reaffirmed a simple truth: workers deserve fair pay, strong protections, and the ability to provide for their families.

A convention to remember!

We extend our deepest gratitude to @governorferguson.bsky.social for standing shoulder-to-shoulder with working people at our 66th Convention in Wenatchee.

Huge thanks to Ray Dumas and Neil Hartman for lending a hand today. 🙌 We’re so excited to see everyone soon and grateful to all who’ve pitched in to help us get ready.

Safe travels, and see you in Wenatchee!

We’re gearing up for our 66th Convention in Wenatchee! 🎉 Bags are stuffed, papers have been sorted, and—miraculously—we’ve managed to avert any paper cuts along the way 😅

This weekend we honor the working people who build our infrastructure, care for our families, defend our freedoms, and keep our communities strong.

We hope you have a safe, happy Labor Day weekend!

On Labor Day 1942, the U.S. government sent this telegram reminding the nation that American victory depended on American workers. More than 80 years later, that truth remains: without labor, nothing moves forward.

But safety is not just about PPE, procedures, and practices. It’s also about creating a culture of safety and inclusion on every jobsite, every crew, and in every classroom. Join us in staying committed to all aspects of safety—not just in June, but 365 days a year!
wabuildingtrades.bsky.social
June is National Safety Month—a time to reinforce the profound importance of safety adherence. Worker safety can mean the difference between coming home in one piece at the end of a shift or not coming home at all.

Together, we can break the stigma and build a culture of support and understanding.
