You can tell you’re getting old when little things are infuriating. Like the imbecile who decided an 8 hour timer on indoor Xmas lights was better than the 16 hours that was the previous norm. Sorry kids, Xmas starts at lunchtime that way it doesn’t finish at 4pm. Grrrr!

I recall this piece. Plenty will be wondering why this doesn’t happen here. It seems to me, as soon as an idea like this is proposed there’s an outcry and the naysayers get their way. The beauty of this is the idea private property (cars) shouldn’t
own public space. We need to refocus
