I originally came here in an attempt to ditch other social media. Whilst I enjoy a lot of the serious content here and an apparent absence of the Gammonati, does it all have to be serious? Here are some pics of Shona enjoying her day at the beach yesterday

Of the men arrested for offences in the race riots that followed events at Southport last year 40% had been reported to the police for domestic violence. Where’s the real danger?

An Israeli minister criticising Iran for an air strike on a hospital!!! Just about anyone in the world can and should be disgusted by it…… except any member of the Israeli government or military command. Maybe Hamas too.

You can tell you’re getting old when little things are infuriating. Like the imbecile who decided an 8 hour timer on indoor Xmas lights was better than the 16 hours that was the previous norm. Sorry kids, Xmas starts at lunchtime that way it doesn’t finish at 4pm. Grrrr!

So, a Gov’t Minister has reportedly written to their constituents stating their opinions on assisted dying (a bill currently in UK debate). Is it not the responsibility of any MP to reflect the views and wishes of their constituents, not the other way around?

My heart sank this morning reading how many book and film events featuring anti-racism were cancelled owing to threats of violence by far right groups. No mention of moves to tackle the illegal threats. Don’t know if that’s a gap in the report or a failure in policing. Either way, it’s real. 😡

Having arrested a 92 year old man suspected of committing the rape and murder of a 75 year old woman in Bristol 57 years ago (if it’s the perpetrator I hope he rots in hell), local police have added extra patrols to reassure local residents……WHAT!!!!!???

It’s bad enough when people or groups are corrupting national elections but now the debate over assisted dying in the UK is being manipulated from behind the scenes; Religious lobbyists are secretly coordinating and funding bodies that claim to be led by disabled people and health workers
