As our summer–fall walking schedule wraps up, it’s time to share an update on our progress walking all the residential streets in 204 #Calgary communities.

With winter approaching, we’re adjusting our schedule—shorter walks, often through Calgary’s emerging neighborhoods.

Today we walked the length of Wolf Willow Boulevard SE from Wolf Hollow Crescent to near where it intersects 210 Avenue.

Over the winter, we’ll be alternating our walks between hilly, established communities and newer, flatter ones. Yesterday’s walk took us through hilly #MacEwanGlen, so today we ventured over to #WolfWillow in SE #Calgary

At the 2021 census, #Millrise had a population of 6,750, down by 95 from 2016.

Construction of the development began in 1980 and wasn't completed until 2002.

At the 2021 census, #Seton had a population of 3,590. There where no stats for Seton in 2016

Seton began in 2007 with the construction of the South Health Campus, followed by the YMCA building and retail developments. Residential construction did not begin until 2017 and is still ongoing

The land that would become Seton was nothing but fields in 2003. By 2009, construction of the South Health Campus complex was well underway. As of 2017, very few residential properties existed. The imagines taken in 2024 reveal show most of the residential properties that exist today.

Yesterday, we completed walking all of the publicly accessible "occupied" residential streets in #Seton.

In the process, we covered a distance of 20.86 kilometres.

This marks the 174th #Calgary community that we have now completed.
