Kind of crazy to me that even after the coach situation, several players have committed to JMU today. Says a lot about the culture in Harrisonburg and, honestly, Bob Chesney. He's not trying to kill JMU's recruiting class on the way out.

The college football schedule is completely messed up. What other sport do you see head coaches poached before the season is really over? I get it's because recruiting is so important, but it's kind of defeating for teams to work so hard all year to see their coach leave even with a CFP possibility.

Reports are Chesney will head to UCLA and the deal is done. He'll coach the SBC Title game and go from there.
Of course, if this is true, then he lied like a dog during a press conference he just completed. It's also kind of dumb since there was no way this news wouldn't leak over the next week.

Funny enough, in my college football sim, JMU jumped to the Big 10.
Wow, in the new AP poll, the Big 10 has a whopping 14 (!) of the top 25: Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, USC, Virginia, Oklahoma, Michigan, Iowa, Texas Tech, James Madison, Navy, Missouri, Notre Dame, BYU, and Georgia. The Big 10 dominating!
