A quick update: A few weeks ago, I left my role as Social Media Director at CBS News after a great run navigating 2024 and first chunk of 2025. I learned a lot and am very thankful for the opportunity to work with an incredible social team, but it was time for something different 🧵

Can't be mad at the Cubs. They came back from 2-0 to force Game 5 against the team with the best record. Cubs looked good, but those stranded runners were brutal. Milwaukee was relentless. Still! This season was a blast.

Hope springs eternal. 166 days until Opening Day

internet culture desks aren't just for cute meme trend stories. ever since gamergate, understanding how and why info moves online is critical to seeing how we got *here*

National political reporters: consult your gaming desk. You likely have a massively blind spot — this isn’t a dig at anyone, because I have this blind spot too b/c I’m not a gamer and am trying to adjust for it in real time — covering this very important moment if u don’t game & don’t know the memes

I have journalism experience including, but not limited to:

• Shaping audience vision and strategy across text and video platforms
• Working with editors to promote award-winning journalism
• Leading teams through breaking news cycles
• Liaising at the intersection of editorial, product, and design

I took a few weeks off, and now I'm on the hunt for what's next. I'm hoping for a role focused on my passions: finding audiences where they are and connecting them to important journalism, developing newsroom strategy, and building up the next generation of audience specialists.

Is Taylor wearing Sony MDR7506s? Great headphone choice, they have been my gotos for six or seven years ever since Sennheiser retired the HD202s

For the first time in this war, I wrote in the first person.

Here is what it's like to experience an air raid in Kyiv, to negotiate between bombs and normality, and to come out of shelter into the smoky aftermath.

Recently, a seasonal edition went out to Sun-Times newspaper subscribers. It was intended to be a supplemental value to our readers alongside our own journalism. Instead, it detracted and distracted from our work, Chicago Public Media CEO explains:

Andor has been an incredible romp and a brilliant look into what Star Wars could be in the right hands, I am not ready for it to end tomorrow

It defied all expectations for the kind of mature storytelling you can do with a 50-year-old fantasy series for kids while still staying true to its roots ✨
