history that didn't fail is called present. Everything else is in the dust. We should learn from it, not repeat it. And having learned from it, we should build new constructs. Gender identities are part of it, and a big part of it too. Be proud of who you are, unapologetically, authentically.

On a more positive note, I'm glad that blogging is having a little bit of a renascence with substack, as I can follow and admire my favorite authors. No, posts on patreon don't feel the same. (if you know good lgbtq authors who are on substack, please steer me their way)

When you see each other struggle, as humans, you're supposed to feel empathy. I understand we can't all there be for one another, but is it really too much to ask to check in on someone clearly having a rough time? Will it really take away too much from you? The heartlessness of humanity is baffling
