In regards to the brain, evidence has shown that nicotine is beneficial. But that’s the same thing for cannabis. Yet, they’ve been rejected and frowned upon like some poisons.

TVPA review 2021: only 20% of adult smokers who don’t vape believe that vaping is less harmful. Relative risk statements would educate smokers.
So, what did they do?
They introduced health WARNINGS for vapour product ads “to prevent the public from being deceived or misled”

Policies most likely to achieve this balance may be those that focus on retail displays, product design and packaging, and product descriptions, rather features that make them appealing to smokers and effective for cessation such as flavours and nicotine strengths.

TVPA 2018 Goal: Protect youth and non smokers from “gateway” to smoking.
TVPA Review 2021: global trends in youth vaping similar despite different approaches, 🇨🇦 vapers <19 ⬇️ since 2019, and vapers 20+ ⬆️. Recommends more enforcement and relative risk statements #EnforceNOTban
