The Met Office have issued an Amber heat health alert for this weekend.

If you're heading out to enjoy the sunshine near open water, please stay safe and #BeWaterAware. Even strong swimmers can get caught out by cold water shock.

It's hot... 🥵☀️

Make sure to put out plenty of water for birds & wildlife so they can keep cool and have enough to drink.

They'll thank you!
Managed a visit to the new @nationaltrust.org.uk Charterhouse property yesterday. Really enjoyed it! Heard it had been a big success with 8000 visitors in the first 3 weeks. Do go along soon and see the gardens at their best! www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/warwic...

Coventry Charterhouse threw open its doors to visitors today! The 14th-century monastery is the first National Trust property in Coventry, home to rare medieval wall paintings, layers of history and peaceful gardens.

WE WON! 🥾✊🌳

The Ramblers has won a long-running legal battle against landowner Roxlena Ltd, bringing much-loved paths in Hayton Woods a step closer to being protected for future generations!

Today, the High Court judge ruled in our favour in this landmark case that could have punished locals...🧵
We hope you are supporting the principles of the CPRE's sunshine Bill. As well as putting solar panels in the best place, on roofs, it will ensure lower bills for residents of new houses rather than bigger profits for builders. www.cpre.org.uk/news/sunshin...

The Sunshine Bill debate for rooftop solar has been adjourned until July.

There are far too many of these horrible incidents happening. You must keep your dog under close control anywhere near livestock. Especially as many vulnerable ewes are heavily pregnant at the moment. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Have read the first few chapters after buying a copy from Tom at our AGM a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoying it. It is a very positive book that gives hope for the future.
Great to have @tomheap.bsky.social at our AGM yesterday to give an interesting an inspiring talk. He signed a copy of his book for our area secretary Janet afterwards!
Don't forget it is our AGM tomorrow at 10.30 am. It's at Long Itchington Community Centre, CV47 9QP. If you are driving, parking is free, look out for a steward in high viz at the entrance. See you there!
Warwickshire Area's AGM will be in Long Itchington in the Warwickshire countryside this Saturday and we have a similar walk planned for afterwards to walk off the buffet lunch!
About 1.5 miles of paths are affected by this application. Rather than walking through pleasant countryside you would be walking between two metres high security fences. Hardly any of the new houses being built around Leamington have solar panels on their roofs. That's where to put them.
Remember it is our AGM on the 8th February at 10.30 am. It's at Long Itchington Community Centre, CV47 9QP. If you are definitely coming please email [email protected] by tomorrow to help with catering numbers. There will be a choice of two walks afterwards, 3 or 5 miles. See you there!

There are currently multiple flood warnings across Warwickshire.

It isn't about eliminating solar farms, it is about reducing the need for them so they are not installed where they damage the countryside and take valuable farmland out of use. The CPRE site we quoted claims 60% of Britain's solar can be generated by rooftop, so that would be a big help.
