Another federal court just rejected the Trump Administration’s cruel attempt to revoke lawful status from more than 350,000 Haitians who legally sought refuge here. But this fight isn’t over.

Very worried that Trump will send in an ICE surge to Ohio for mass deportations of Haitians who came here LEGALLY.

Instead of ICE raids and mass deportations, we need to extend TPS status.

I joined @wassermanschultz.house.gov’s amendment to the spending bill to extend TPS for Haitians.

As a senior member of @democrats-appropriations.house.gov, I bring federal investments back to our community.

To make the process accessible, I held a workshop to guide South Florida cities to help me secure more funds. I'll always fight for the resources our communities need.

This is the right decision. Members of Congress must be able to conduct oversight, especially now, as abuses surge.

I proudly led the effort to enact unannounced detention visits in Trump’s first term. All Members should use this power to hold DHS accountable.
BREAKING: Judge Cobb has barred DHS from preventing members of Congress from visiting immigration detention facilities without notice, saying the administration's policy likely violated the law requiring their unfettered access. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

So glad to join Temple Beth Emet, my synagogue, for their annual Mitzvah Day!

It was all about acts of kindness, so we came together to make dog treats to donate to the Humane Society of Broward County. 🐶

Great visit to Pixels on Target's Sunrise facility, where this company helps our servicemembers on the battlefield.

As lead Democrat on the Military Construction & VA Appropriations subcommittee, I always ensure our troops have all they need to protect us.

I'll always fight to protect the Everglades, a vital water resource for millions.

Even in a divided Congress, I'm still able to secure major victories to revitalize our cherished River of Grass.

I'm proud to have secured a $2 million federal investment to support Feeding South Florida's work to end hunger in our community.

Food is way too expensive, and this Mobile Emergency Response Kitchen will help make it more affordable for vulnerable families.

I convened local civil rights and immigration advocates to hear how ICE is impacting Florida and discuss what to do about it.

Here’s what they told me.

Honored to celebrate My Hollywood Pride's 5th anniversary this week!

I'll never stop fighting for you to love who you love, to be your authentic self, and do it with the same rights and freedom as every American should.

Last night's ruling in favor of TPS is a small measure of hope for my South Florida Venezuelan and Haitian constituents, who have seen more than enough pain and heartbreak.

My full statement:

Anyone who believes Trump’s objective in Venezuela is democracy should look at what he’s done to democracy here.

They should be prioritizing an immediate transition of power, not propping up the same corrupt dictatorship.
Friction emerges between Trump and Venezuelan opposition over Machado’s return
The administration may prefer reliability over democracy in Caracas, worrying advocates for opposition leader María Corina Machado.

I plan to sign this discharge petition as soon as I return to Washington.

Haiti is unstable and unsafe. We cannot subject law-abiding immigrants to such cruel conditions. TPS exists for this exact purpose.
BREAKING: I just introduced a discharge petition to force a vote on extending TPS for Haiti.

Our Haitian neighbors deserve to continue their essential work & contributions to our communities.

And if Donald Trump won’t act to protect Haitian lives, then Congress must.

Kristi Noem has to go.
January 27, 2026 at 9:53 PM
This👇
Donald Trump must fire Kristi Noem immediately.

Or Democrats will initiate impeachment proceedings against her in the House.

We can do this the easy way or the hard way.

I just met with families and doctors hurt by the GOP's refusal to extend the ACA tax credits.

Pam's premiums jumped from $500 a year to over $2,000.

Steve's family saw a jump of $12,000 to more than $41,000.

The Senate must pass the tax credits immediately. It cannot wait.

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

As we remember the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau to reclaim justice for the millions who died at the hands of hate, we must remain vigilant and always speak up to ensure such horrors can never be repeated.

For 2+ years, hostage families were torn apart. We’ve not let the world move on until all hostages, living & deceased, were returned. Now, the last remaining hostage, Ran Gvili, can be honorably laid to rest.

There is much work ahead but today, my heart is with Ran’s family & the Israeli community.

We cannot accept Trump flooding our cities with undisciplined, masked agents who show no respect for our rights and use lethal force against Americans.

DHS is telling us not to trust our own eyes. They can’t be trusted to investigate these killings. Noem must resign.
