Got in late from a long day! I edited about half of the final version of The Healer's Magic, coming out in March, and we got a tour of the Cape Kidnappers gannet colony, then did the nighttime redwood walk in Rotorua!

Got in about 1330 words on the new book today before touring the Te Papa museum in Wellington. We saw the Gallipoli exhibit, with giant sculptures created by Weta Workshop, along with Moa skeletons and Maori waka (canoes).

Today we traveled up the last bit of the New Zealand south island to Picton and rode around the Queen Charlotte sound seeing the wildlife!

Continued our drive up the New Zealand coast to Kaikōura today and went whale watching! It was an amazing day with an incredible coastline. We got right up next to a sperm whale!

Our second full day in Queenstown, and we took a fast boat ride and a slow boat ride! The TSS Earnslaw is a steamboat built in 1912, the same year as the Titanic. Wrote about 1100 words on the ride back, on the new Shifting Lands book!
