So reading all the rules/amendments, I can construct the core building/paint it for the entry, and then if I want to add skulls/scatter from GW kits, do that after the compo has been judged.

Seems fair enough, just gives me a 'second' reveal when all the bits get added after. 😊

Only got a couple in red, my Word Bearers section for Imperialis and my often shared Blood Queen hero for 40K.

Really need to get a Evil Sunz Ork/unit painted for next time red comes up. 😅

Heheh, don't tell the usual suspects, I can imagine them blowing gaskets they didn't know they had when they realize the real reason... nothing to do with 'wah! tourists ruining the hobby' and its just GW protecting its IP/bottom line.

I kinda hope so, a good chunk of my 3rd party purchases have been models allowing me to add more Women to my rank and file 40K armies, or to add more ladies to Warbands/Gangs in the Specialist studio games.

Would be painful if all of those were suddenly under threat, as GW ain't going to do them.

Aye, I found them useful for getting lady versions for Necromunda gangs that didn't have any official GW versions, but they are clearly still heavily 'inspired' by the GW factions in question, so would also be up for litigation.

The Diabolical urge to take that 'Warlord' and make it a centre piece for the Emperors Children part of the Imperialis army is quite high tbh. I have found I enjoy trying to salvage bizarre third party models.

Hell part of the reason I can see GW finally giving us Lady Marines, is at the moment they have no defence against 3rd party rule 63'd Marines as they don't have any.

I'm not shocked, got a couple of Ghamak figs, and they are literally in some cases GW models in different poses... tbh I'll be more shocked if 'Across the Realms' aren't being targeted as well, as they have even more on the nose models, and I do have a fair few of those as well tbh.

I felt they were finally finding some sort of decent ground just before it got cancelled, took them too long to find their feet.

But yeah, still an odd choice, I remember rumour at the time saying it was his daughter who was a fan and talked him into it, but no idea if that was ever accurate.

Got some more painting done today, still having a end of summer sort, trying to get places sorted before winter sweeps in, so been busy most of the time.

Orks are slowly getting there, and the War council Nobz mob is catching up to the other mobz.

Its bizarre... just when Starmer had more than enough pressure on him from backbenchers feeling they've been sold a lemon it couldn't get worse, he does something as woefully unpopular as this. Also a rarity that it seems to have no left/right divide on the issue, nearly everyone hates it.

Been prepping the house for winter, sorta reverse spring clean to make sure nothing is near any of the heaters, as temps have been falling at night.

Today is a eBay prep/listing day but hopefully I'll get to share some hobby later.

Yeah one of my fave flaws in Vampire the Masquerade was the one were your vampire brought into the whole movie sticht of the 'Vampire rules' and couldn't see their reflection... might have been Lasombra specific (been a while since I played) but it was a funny one to take.

Also in a 'why haven't I always been doing this' moment, as they were out I based the Nobz, and then went over their feet with a white mix to get rid of any brown splash, so bases done and now ready for colour with no cross contamination. 😅

The old trusty 'base mat' is out again to protect the modelling area, already did a Rhinox Hide/Cygor Brown mix on the bases, now going over again with Cygor for extra depth. only managed a few each side as work is approaching, will do the rest later.

Enjoying painting the Orks so much I have grabbed another unit out of the box to get colour on. Due to the whole 'all Clans' Ork army plan, the first Nobz Mob is a 'Council of Waaagh!' a powerful 'Advisor' Nob from each Clan led by Kaptain Waaagh! himself.

Blood Axe nob is a long range shooter and Komms specialist, Evil Sunz is a gunslinger speedster, the Goff is a hardened Warrior who loves things close and personal, the Bad Moon has the best tech he can afford, the Death Skull is a legend among other Skulls for the loot he has acquired and the Snakebite weirds his ancient feral axe as well as any Mek enhanced power choppa. Kaptain Waaagh! with his boon of extreme strength from Gork and Mork themselves, wields his shield as effectively as a Power Klaw, using it to shred other foes.

Just emboldened again by Trump acting like a 1933 tribute act... hopefully there are more sane Brits seeing the feth up America is right now and don't fall for it... although it is sad myself and Kethmok have already discussed potential 'get out of dodge' plans if they do.
